Why I think for browser isn’t the best

i’m not saying tor as a network isn’t the best obviously it’s the best but I’m saying It’s kind of buggy, but it does encrypt a lot of your, I use custom browsers with tor though if anybody disagree agrees with me, we can discuss in the comments

I spent 3 days building my own Tor-inspired browser + network

Over the last 3 days I challenged myself to build a lightweight anonymous browser and network from scratch.

It's called Thrity Network.

Goals

No ads No tracking No accounts Open source Lightweight Simple to self-host

GitHub: https://github.com/thford64-boop/thrity/tree/main

Website: https://thrity.online/

Current features:

WebKit2GTK browser Custom .thrity network Registry server + hosting server Tor routing toggle ("Anonymize") Per-tab Tor isolation (v0.03) Completely isolated tabs (cookies/login state don't leak between tabs) .thrity:// links between sites Directory browser for discovering .thrity sites Optional HTTPS for .thrity sites Hardened browser settings (camera/mic disabled, no DNS prefetch, no local storage) Address bar displays .thrity names instead of IP Open source

Recent improvements in v0.03:

Tor is now isolated per tab instead of browser-wide. Every tab has separate cookies and login state. Registry now rate-limits registrations. Host server no longer exposes raw directory listings. Added a network directory and .thrity:// links.

I know this isn't a replacement for the Tor Project or the Tor network—it was mainly a fun engineering challenge to see how much I could build in just three days.

I'd love feedback from people here, especially on the anonymity model, security concerns, and architecture. I'm sure there are things I've overlooked, and I'd appreciate constructive criticism.

Thanks!
