South Florida conditions in July?

I'm unfamiliar with the conditions in South Florida, I've only gone snorkeling there during January when it was windy but consistently sunny. I want to visit to get a free diver certification and do some snorkeling, but I only have a few weeks in July available to go this year and I'm wondering if it'd be worth it with the weather possibly impacting visibility. Ft Lauderdale area. Thanks

Is there a way to have grass genetically tested for ID?

There are some grasses/grass lookalikes in my yard that I'm not able to identify to species and I haven't had any hits on iNat or anything. Is there anywhere I can send a sample to have it genetically IDed, and would it be astronomically expensive to do so? Thanks

Like Polygonatum, Maianthemum, Trilliums, etc. I tried doing it in the fridge a few times to see if I could speed up the process and I never was able to control mold and rot between the warm and cool cycles. Has anyone tried just chucking handfuls onto a bare patch and seeing what comes up in a few years?
