You DO NOT need to be max upgrade or prestige at all.

Stun Shell: Enemies that melee the shell get stunned
Active Camo
Stealth Fire: stay invisible when firing weapon
Extra time: melee kills increase camo duration
Thermal Spike (Heat Wave)
Molten Aura: Enemies that touch you are burned
Sentinel Protocol
Improved accuracy and targets enemies that you ping
Gives it shock damage, the rifle changes colour like the exotics with shock damage.
