Someone has probably thought of this before, but I think it would be a fun twist to give the contestants a “blind guess” based solely on the Final Jeopardy category. If they get the blind guess correct (and double down with the blind guess as their official response), they get double their wager. This would technically prevent as many runaways as well (giving Final Jeopardy at least a little suspense). Would also be fun just seeing the contestants blind guesses (and comparing them to my own)!
