My thoughts on freedom at midnight
If this book has portrayed Gandhi accurately, then I’m sorry, but I found him incredibly frustrating and, at times, downright irrational. The way he dealt with Jinnah and Nehru was especially interesting. I also don’t think Nehru was the idiot people often make him out to be, he actually seemed quite capable, although the show portrays Gandhi as frequently putting him under immense emotional pressure.
