Why is it widely considered that there are no glaciers on the east coast, when there are clearly glaciers on Mt. Caubvick (Quebec, Canada)?

Mt Caubvick (Mont D’Iberville) is the highest peak in Quebec and located in the northern Torngat Mountains. Looking at satellite imagery, we can clearly see crevasses on one ice sheet and a bergschrund on the other indicating that the ice is indeed moving. So why is it widely considered that there are no glaciers on the (mainland) east coast?
