Late 15th Century knight vs Book Aragorn (LOTR)

Consider the knight to be equal in skill and physical ability with Jacques de Lalaing.

The arena will be an large empty field with dry and solidly packed dirt as the floor.

The Knight has full set of plate, as of 1499, in high quality. He is armed with a standard (if well-made) two handed longsword, equal in length to Andúril.

Aragorn can be equipped with any equipment he possessed at any point in the books, provided it is not a ranged weapon and he can actually lift and swing it.

As a bonus round Aragorn can take handheld ranged weapons, but the knight gets a light 15th century crossbow.

God Emperor of Mankind (30k) Vs Composite Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars)

This is the God Emperor immediately prior to confronting Horus during The End and the Death part III. Palpatine is a composite of legends and canon.

The fight takes place in the death star "throne room" during the duel between Vader and Luke in Return of the Jedi.

The fight starts as Luke chops off Vader's hand, the Emperor is teleported with no warning into the air and lands on both Luke and Vader, crushing both to death. Palpatine and the Emperor will then fight to the death.

Who wins?

Best Composite Space Marine [40k] vs Best Composite Spartan [Halo]

Full disclaimer: PSYKERS ARE BANNED.

It's been more than 6 months since the last time I posted a variation of this so here we go.

Please do highball absolutely every feat to their maximum, however clearly spurious reasoning will still be rejected. You can't argue one of them can bench a planetoid because they lifted a pencil in a poorly described manner, for instance.

Rules are simple: no psykers - no xenos weaponry (u/Firm-Character-6852 that DOES include the xenophase blade and it's like).

Equipment can be anything availble to Marines or Spartans (respectively) up to and including terminator armour or the spartan equivalent thereof. No Centurion suits for the marine or HRUNTING suits for the spartan or anything of their like.

Both sides are forbidden from bringing a vehicle as a close combat weapon (or at all really), equally the marine is banned from bringing their primarch (or the emperor) as a piece of defensive equipment (or any piece of equipment, or at all).

It's a fight to the death, in a lightly urban/rural arena with no buildings larger than one floor. The Arena is 5km square. Neither is bloodlusted but have received clear orders to kill the other and intend to fulfil those orders.

They do not start with knowledge of where their opponent is in the arena.

Edit: including a bonus round: if one side wins how many of the other side would it take to equalise?

A Norn Emissary is dropped onto Palpatine's desk approximately 30 minutes prior to Mace Windu arriving to arrest The Senate.

The Emissary has instructions to kill Palpatine and then to keep killing everything it can find, until it is itself destroyed. The Emissary can use any tactics it deems useful and is not compelled to blindly attack everything it sees.

Can the Emissary kill Palpatine? If it can, what does it take for the Republic to stop the Emissary?
