Hello all, i am experiencing recurrent klebsiella aerogenes folliculitus in the chin, beard, and cheek area. I have been prescribed accutane and am set to start Monday of this next week. I’ve had several recurrences, and I’m at a point that i will do absolutely anything to stop this from coming back.

I was wondering, has anyone here had laser hair removal completed while on accutane? I am thinking about jumping to LHR, as I’ve heard the success stories. I am just concerned that if im on accutane, a derm won’t be willing to provide me LHR.

All thoughts, feedback, and recommendations welcomed. For everyone experiencing this, please stay strong. It sucks. I am really hoping research in this space advances soon to find a cure, or at least clear guidelines on how to manage it.

Hello all, I’ve had 4 recurrences of klebsiella aerogenes gram negative folliculitus, with 4 courses of bactrim double strength since the start of this year. It has come back again. I am losing hope in fighting and managing this condition. Any recommendations on how to manage or cure this would be much appreciated. I don’t know if i can continue this cycle of having flare ups, taking antibiotics, and having it come back a week after antibiotics stop with greater severity. Any support, ideas, or recommendations would be much appreciated.
