I’m reaching to Sri Lanka this Friday and would be covering below cities for 11 days.

Colombo
Sigiriya\Dambulla
Trincomalee
Kandy
Nuwara Eliya
Ella
Colombo

I have a question on internal transits. I checked with less taxi, they quoted 176000 LKR which seems a bit high for me.

I’m traveling solo. I do wish to save time on commute but don’t wish to spend a fortune.

How easy or difficult is it with buses and trains. I have read that some sections of railways are closed currently.

Which of these sections I can do by public transport and which would be recommended for taxi?

Is there an option of shared taxi’s?
