Hey guys, so me along with some ppl are working on app for the real racing game.

This is an app that we've been developing for a while. It's an external game manager for all Real Racing games without any modifications to the original game clients.

The app works by utilizing Shizuku to make system api calls in order to manage game files in restricted directories. It's basically an app that lets you access system toolkits that can help you manage your real racing game.

Current Features:

- Pre-built game patchers (gameplay tweaks, graphics presets, bug fixer)

- Savedata profile manager

- Ghost Lap import&export

- Mods installer (livery, audiopack, playertexture), with its own mod format

Current state:

- Unreleased, still needs optimization&adjustment.

This app still has a lot of bugs and a lot of stability issues. We really need you guys's help to give us suggestions & advice for the app, so we can speed up development.

This time, I'm sharing a preservation effort for Real Racing Next, done by Mr. Robot from Telegram and XaView from 4PDA!

What is Real Racing Next?

Real Racing Next was an unreleased, soft-launched mobile racing game by Electronic Arts intended as the next-generation successor to Real Racing 3.

During its brief, limited-time early access testing phase, Real Racing Next was officially made available only in two countries—Canada and Australia—before it was cancelled on June 2, 2023.

What the preservation effort is

A modder from Telegram successfully modified the original client of Real Racing Next, to embed a game data installer directly in the app.

This means, everything is being handled inside this one single APK. It no longer requires you to manually fetch the apk and the data independently anymore.

This way, you can revisit the game easier and witness the potential of what EA has abandoned in the past.

Where can i get this?

You can get it directly from Mr. Robot's telegram channel titled, "Workshop by Mr. Robot" (he also has alot more interesting stuff there, and sorry, can't share direct telegram links here)

We also cloned the real racing next file to google drive in our discord here (which we already recieved permission from Mr. Robot)

We have also provided a save file on our GDrive with everything unlocked, because I heard that the loot box mechanics in Real Racing Next are pretty terrible... so what a better way to play than to skip them entirely.

KEEP IN MIND

Don't expect much content from this build. It's a pre-alpha build that is less than 2gb, which is really small compared to real racing 3 with over 8gb in size. This build is to show us how EA has killed a potential in the mobile racing genre back then.

This build might also be unoptimized on lower end devices.

Hello everyone, i am glad to announce a massive update to our Real Racing HLE Project. I have brought a lot Real Racing 1 versions back to life.

Our current progress exceeded my own expectations. We now have original Real Racing, GTI Edition, and HD Edition all to work on newer Androids!

BUILD INFO

We initially planned to implement a floating ball to work around save corruption in v1.00. But turns out, the bug might be on the game rather than the emulator itself, and it also seems like corruption is inevitable rather than completely random.

So instead, we tried running newer versions of Real Racing 1. Since TouchHLE's compatibility is pretty minimum, we decided to switch from the TouchHLE Engine to the HyperHLE Engine with our own fixes for some performance problems, and it successfully loads 9 different playable version. And after some playtesting, it seems like newer versions above 1.01 doesn't have any save corruption issue.

Now keep in mind, all of our current builds are still in beta. We don't know when we will reach a stable release, but we do think the current builds are decent enough to be published. We also have provided README files related to each real racing packages, so you can know how well each build currently works.

As for now, the development for Real Racing HLE Edition is temporarily paused, as we are working next in preserving Real Racing 2 to be playable with less hurdle in modern android.

Here are some screenshots i took while playing real racing next (rr4) today. Such a shame EA just decides to cancel this project.

Yeah, so i got all real racing games to work on the same device.

Treat this a teaser to my upcoming project in the future. (sooner than you might think)

I recommend you to keep an eye on TGL's youtube channel and discord for now.

The whole franchise might be saved. Don't abandon this comnunity yet.

- Features such as sync and multiplayer will crash the game when being opened. (Solution: don't open them)

- Your game progress can get randomly corrupted (Solution: no fixes yet until ciciplusplus fixed it himself. but you can manually backup your save progress every race for extended playthroughs inside Android/Data/org.touchhle.android.rroriginal/files/touchHLE_sandbox/com.firemint.realracing/Documents as a temporary workaround. i am also currently working on better workaround flow)

- Putting the game on window will force you to re log (Solution: don't multitask)

Yes, that video was real.

That video shows a gameplay of me playing Real Racing 1 on my Android.

How? The game has been available for android recently through the utilization of high level emulation, particularly the TouchHLE app from github. The app lets you run old ios games.

This whole thing is HUGE, because the first real racing game is not supposed to work on Android at all, it never got any android port and is ios-exclusive.

The real racing apk i showed you is basically the touchhle app from github, but i turned it into some sort of a "wrapper" (correct me if im wrong) to only specifically run the real racing ipa, so that you don't need to manually obtain an obscure ipa file and having to install it. With this, you only need to install my "apk" and just enjoy the game.

We are close to preserving the whole franchise of real racing. I hope with this, we can keep on to refuse letting the franchise gets reduced to pure memory.

And yes, i used ai... but who cares, im not using it for anything.

So just now, i was wandering around rr3's 14.0.1 data file and i noticed a file named "PartyPlayLocal.gui"

in: /.depot/gui/processed/

There is also a party_play folder too, and they're modified fairly recent, despite being removed years ago.

I was curious, so i decided to replace the RaceTeamPage.gui (team racing) with the partyplaylocal gui file, and it loads like this. I don't know if this feature is still able to be revived, i'm not sure how many codes are still left of this feature, i don't have enough controller either to test if this feature is still functional either.

I saw a video of Project Armageddon showing that this feature used to be functional.

Guys, we're working to revive this game, do any of you have knowledge of this? How likely is this feature still functional?
