Improvised SATA power distribution
Believe it or not this constitutes an improvement, factory crimping on Corsair PSU cordset was faulty, disks on that bus would consistently drop out of the array they are in, self test would initiate but always result in device reset. Decided to ohm out the cordset and one of the ground leads was measuring 12Ω to source, <1Ω would be typical.
Cut off the crappy molex connectors + adapters and just soldered up some strip board to act as power distribution, traces on strip board are reinforced with additional solder to handle current and isolated from each other.
Question, is this more or less if a fire hasard than the original setup?
