Associate vs. Consultant Experienced Hire Case Interview
I have an experienced-hire interview coming up. Just curious, what does BCG look for when assessing candidates applying for an entry-level Associate role vs an experienced-hire Consultant role? Are the case interviews generally similar, with the main difference being that Consultant candidates are typically given more complex exhibits, graphs, and quantitative calculations? Are they also assessed more rigorously on their business acumen, communication skills, and overall client readiness for experienced hire?
I'm also asking because I don't have a strong finance background so mental math or being intuitive about using the right formula for the calculation isn't very intuitive for me, and M&A type of cases are also not my expertise...so i'm just betting on the generic case types (e.g. market entry, profitability) given the short amount of time to prepare.
