Is it stupid to let go of the NUST dream for FAST fintech?

Guys I genuinely need advice because I’m really confused right now.
For the longest time, my dream was to study at NUST. I was completely fixed on doing CS there, but as the time for final decisions got closer, I slowly realized that my interest in CS kind of faded. Still, I didn’t want to let go of the idea of NUST, so I started considering ACF instead.
But honestly, I don’t really see myself enjoying accounting/finance in the traditional sense either. Dealing with numbers all day doesn’t feel like something I’d genuinely want to do long term.
At one point I used to think that if I didn’t get into NUST, it would literally be the end of the world and everything would be ruined 😭 but now I’ve started thinking more practically about my future and career stability. I researched a lot about current and future job markets, and fintech is one field that genuinely caught my interest because it combines tech + finance in a modern way and actually sounds exciting to me.
The problem is that NUST doesn’t really offer fintech as a dedicated field, while FAST does.
So now I’m stuck between:
choosing the university I always dreamed of
vs
choosing the field that actually interests me more

Would it be stupid to let go of the “NUST dream” and choose FAST for fintech instead? I’d really appreciate honest opinions from seniors or anyone who has been through something similar.
