How loud are vintage ventilators?
Hello! I'm in the process of buying myself a desk fan. A regular 30 or 35 cm in diameter.
I'm kind of torn between just buying a simple cheap white plastic fan or going for something more stylish. My roommates own a plastic fan (with 3 blades) and a metal one (4 narrower blades) both 40W. After comparing both, the metal one is expectedly a little bit louder.
I wanted to know if there's a noticeable difference in sound and effectiveness between modern fans and the old vintage ones e.g. parasonic? I'd love to own one of those with color blades but if it would cause me having to speak louder in the room or make movies and music less pleasant I will go for other options.
I don't have a local place where I could buy such a fan so I can't compare it first-hand. I'm looking at those online, they are used and usually sold at a good price (which also makes it questionable). Most models I'm seeing are Crown Super Deluxe and Predom
I know these things are very subjective but I'd like to read some insight
