It has a mild grassy aroma and flavor. The stem is fibrous. It also has very small "thorns" that are not sharp and very bendy.
UPDATE: solved! It's Rau Ngót (sweet leaf). I'm going to try making Canh Rau Ngót (a Vietnamese soup) with it.
