the music and the lights are killing me

anyone else? been a teller for 7 months, the radio's on all the time (even before the customers come in!) and the lights are so bright. i have to lay down for at least an hour after work every day in a dark room and i can still hear the radio. i know this isn't banking specific, but most of the reason i picked banking instead f another retail path was to avoid the radio. does it drive anyone else insane? it's to the point where i'm genuinely considering quitting without anything lined up bc of it

genuinely how the fuck am I supposed to do this? (vent/rant)

context: im a 23 y/o guy who's been working ft as a teller for 6 months. i hate it. i work at a regional bank and my management is good, i have fairly fine coworkers and customers, but the 5-6 days a week working leaves me tired for any of my waking time, to the point that i don't have energy to make any food beyond basic sandwiches. i had 2 pt jobs before this and did really well with them, but my rent/medical debt went up and i neededd to take this job. i think the constant radio/sounds/etc. are getting to me.

i'm posting this here moreso to see if this is an issue with other people or if it's moreso a me issue. am i the issue or is retail banking actually normally draining everyone else like this, and i'm just bad at hiding it?
