Baler Ride Tips

We're heading to Baler with my motorcycle this Saturday morning, leaving around 3:30-4:00am. Which route is better within the NCR and Rizal area? I won't push through Bongabon because I'm probably not ready for the twisties with the motorcycle hahaha.

Context:

- I'm using an ADV 160, getting an MDL installed this week, and if I can get new tires, I'll do that too (City Grip 2)

- I'm not a beginner anymore and I can carry my motorcycle, but I wouldn't say I'm an expert yet, so it's fine if it takes a little longer as long as the road is safer.

Thank you and ride safe.

Advice on Choosing a Motorcycle (pt. 2 UPDATE)

Good day everyone. (First post: https://www.reddit.com/r/motorsiklo/s/QnDo8Sx3Ou)

Update on choosing a scooter: We still haven't bought one, we're just canvassing for now.

We went to Desmark Pasig yesterday, with my cousin because that's where he bought his motorcycle (ADV), there are a lot of motorcycles there, and I really like the color of the ADV (matte black, there's just something about black). They also have a Giorno there but we weren't meant to be because I’d be number 100 on their reservation list if I tried to reserve online, plus I rode it, it was comfy for the rider but seemed off for the backseat. Soon, my girlfriend and I will each have one, she'll have the Fazzio and I'll have the Giorno hahahahaha when we get settled.

Going back, most likely I'll buy in Pasig because I just called Cabuyao 3S and they said they have no stock of any ADV, just a white PCX.

Now here’s the semi-plot twist. There's a black PCX there with CBS, I tried riding it, and wow I got how comfortable it is, it's even more comfortable than the ADV really, probably because of the riding position. Also, at 5'7, my feet are really flatter on the PCX so it's easier in traffic. The seat is way softer compared to the ADV even my cousin was surprised (he owns an ADV so I've tried the ADV up close), so we really understood what those who change seats feel.

Anyway, it's still a week or more before I buy a motorcycle so I have time to think about it.

I think both are good for long rides, it’s really a matter of all-around vs comfort now.

Need Advice on Choosing a Motorcycle

Good day everyone.

Anyway, andito po kasi ako to get an advice from you guys regarding picking a motorcycle. Wala naman po issue tbh sa pera since sagot po siya ng mother ko, pero syempre as much as possible kinoconsider ko rin po mag tipid kahit papaano kasi syempre pera naman po yun ng nanay ko. Its actually supposed to be last year pero syempre di naman po basta basta makakabili ng motor agad agad. Its actually a Graduation Gift and Pumasa sa Boards Gift (I am a licensed forester). You can also actually call it a Bday gift from last year and this year na BDay ko.

Here are some factors to consider when it comes to choosing my motorcycle.

\- First bike ko po is yung Mio Soul 2009 115c Carb (as seen sa picture) from my father who passed away last 2023 pa po, and recently rinestore namin siya and its running very well naman na biyahe ko pa mula Montalban to LB, Laguna kasi andon GF ko tapos dumeretso din ako LB to Cabuyao. Issue ko lang recently is nasisiraan ako ng related sa gas hose pag nalulubakan or pothole na sobrang lalim, and third time na nga po nung Friday pero di naman niya po ako pinahamak kasi alaga naman po namin siya, aside from that wala na issue.

\- My license also covers only automatic transmission motorcycles so that is one factor to consider din po in choosing.

\- Been riding a motorcycle for more than a year naman na pero mas frequent lang this July to August na medyo malayo. (Pasig to Taytay pero 30 minutes lang biyahe, Pasig to Montalban pag Travel Order, Pasig to Cabuyao pag umuuwi ng Laguna, and ofc Cabuyao to LB). Tapos baligtarin niyo na lang din mga minemention ko hahaha, and give or take mga 3 to 4 times a week ako bumabiyahe. So in short, more on city riding ako pero madami rin kasi lubak pa work ko as well as random potholes, and occasional long rides po ang plano namin ng GF ko.

Options:

Giorno+

\- Napanood ko na kasi yung vlog ni Motodeck sa Thailand and I think sapat na power niya para samin ng GF ko, and mas good siya for utility talaga. Problem lang ay ubusan talaga stock hahahahahaha and may nakikita ako na mga hinaing when it comes sa mga backride kasi magalaw nga po yung pegs and malapad daw yung upuan masyado.

PCX 160 CBS

Thank you po and stay safe po always.
