How are you guys landing carp off the bank?

Brother had a 10+lb carp on the line and we had a hell of a time trying to land the carp (our net was too small). This was at a local pond and we had no idea they got that big there, it was huge. Ultimately the line snapped as I was trying to get the net around the tail and scoop'em and we lost it.

Just curious how you guys are landing them. We try to never drag them onto shore amd treat the fish with the best care so if theres something we need to buy we will. Ill also add if just one of us was fishing solo we wouldn't have been able to land it either.

Advice for landing fish.

Alright, so my brother and I have been getting better at catching/hooking bass with our lures, the problem now is they are coming off right at shore when we are landing them. Either they wiggle and jump off as we are grabbing a net or just before. We are keeping tension on the line throughout as well.

Any tips?

AITA?

Buddy of mine and I were fishing opposite ends of this area (red) about 70ft across for a good hour, then 2 guys pull up at yellow area and start casting out essentially cutting both of our casts off by 50% and inevitably snagging with my line with no way to get untangled due to tall weed lines on both sides of yellow between both reds.

If roles were flipped, I wouldn't have fished yellow. There was plenty of shore along the right side of the right red area to share (we have no problem sharing shore as long as lines are parallel but instead they chose the spot to cut both of our casting paths in half.

I spoke up, not harshly but sternly that its common courtesy not to fish a spot people are casting into. They claimed they didnt see us (despite our casts and splashes in water and high vis lines) then proceeded to argue "its an open lake".
