I’m studying for the EA exams using Hock. I’m doing ok on the MCQs but just took the Gleim free practice tests and got 47-55%. Now I’m concerned about what I am studying. I am studying for all 3 tests and spending a few hours every day since I have extra time right now. What are my chances? I have tests scheduled for early July. I plan to keep studying but want to get the most out of it. I’d rather not take the tests twice.

We 56F, 61M investigated LTC insurance policies. Looked at traditional vs hybrid. Our advisor says we can self fund. My dad and grandpa(mom’s side) both were on Medicaid due to running out of $. They did fine but it’s not the best way to finish out. Anyone else looked at it?

I (56F) am retiring from my corporate job job at the end of the month. I have some meetings now and I think “oh if I stayed I could totally fix that” etc. but I had decided I don’t WANT to do that anymore. I also think “why didn’t they fight for me to stay?” lol. All the planning and saving only to want to keep making the millionaire bosses more millions. All to say, I have an illness with my hanging on emotionally to my job so much. It’s probably good for my health to move on and break this addiction. It’s going to be a long 4 weeks!

I’m a late career professional who got a teaching job this fall! I’m very excited and found a nice, small school. I’ll be teaching 6-8. Met with the current teacher who does everything out of the book-worksheets for homework, tests, lessons. There is zero creativity or bringing the topic to life. The decor of the room was all content related with a few family photos by the desk. I’m gathering the kids focus heavily on grades and the class is not fun. How would you proceed? Keep in mind I’m new.

I’m solidly at 84% on MCQs. Am I about where I need to be?
