New Lake Who Dis?
Looking for new lake ideas (and future lake house)? Based in Indianapolis area and grew up vacationing in the Northwoods of Wisconsin’s (Hayward area). As we have started our family, we LOVE going to Hayward but making a 9+ hour drive can be brutal with the multiple stops with little ones.
Any ideas or recs within a 6/7 hour max distance of Indianapolis? We prefer something that isn’t damned (the lake) with a small / cute downtown or restaurants nearby that’s very family friendly. For context, we can’t stand Lake Geneva, WI or other places that are ritzy / overrun
