Installing AltStore — step by step

Step 1. Download AltServer for Windows, extract the ZIP, and run Setup.exe.

Step 2. Search "AltServer" in your Windows taskbar and click "Run as administrator". Allow access to private networks if prompted. AltServer will appear as an icon in the system tray.

Step 3. Connect your iPhone to your PC via USB. Make sure it's unlocked and trust the computer if asked.

Step 4. Open iTunes and enable "Wi-Fi sync" for your device.

The 7-day re-sign reality (free Apple ID)

Apps signed with a free Apple ID stop launching after 7 days and need to be re-signed. This is an Apple rule, not a NOOP one. The good news is that AltStore re-signs your apps automatically in the background, as long as AltServer is reachable on the same Wi-Fi network. noop

If the signature lapses, just open AltStore → My Apps → pull down to refresh. NOOP comes right back and your data is completely safe — a lapsed signature only stops the app from launching, it doesn't delete anything. noop
