Queenstown Snow Chain Hire Shops?
heading down to Queenstown in early-mid September for about 2 weeks, we've rented a car but the rental company doesn't provide snow chains for the type of vehicle we've rented, so i probably need to find them somewhere else
we'll be driving to mt cook, wanaka, milford sound, and coronet peak + the remarkables ski areas. would the chains even be necessary for this time period? i thought it might be safer to just carry them anyway, don't wanna get fined
currently i can only find snow chain hires for about $30++ daily. i'm thinking if i can rent them for a flat rate for the 2 weeks, that would probably be cheaper and easier. rather than going to rent the chains multiple times for the days that we need them. i can't seem to find anywhere that rents them out at a flat rate. any recommendations?
