Post surgery day 9.

Not sure I love my eyes. I’m still SUPER swollen. I had all a stitches removed today including the gauze that was in my cheeks for the lower Bleph. I feel like all this work on my eyes somehow made them smaller? I’m hoping it’s just the swelling. I had the works- deep plane face and neck, brow lift, lip lift, upper and lower bleph and facial fat transfer.

I’m 3 days post op. I am SWOLLEN.

Surgery was Monday, I had a dp face and neck lift, brow lift, upper and lower Bleph, fat transfer and a lip lift. My eyes are nearly swollen shut. I have to clean them up every time I wake up to be able to see. I’ve got tightness in my neck, some tender spots on my head, but otherwise not much pain. I was told I basically had no fat in my face, so he did a big fat transfer. Im eating well, chewing isn’t as much of a problem as I thought it would be, but I’m keeping it to a minimum. So far a good experience for what it is. I’ll post pics when I no longer look like sloth from goonies.

Surgery is August 10th, Freaking out about coming out of anesthesia

I am 50 years old and lost 75 lbs two years, ago, so the laxity in my face is more pronounced than I'd expect at my age. I intitially thought I would just do a brow lift and lip lift with fat grafting. I've now decided to do a preservation deep plane neck and facelift with brow, lip, lower bleph and fat grafting, and he may do an upper bleph too depending on the loose skin after brow lift. My surgery is August 10th. I've had two rhinoplasties and two breast augs, so I am not a stranger to cosmetic surgery. For me, the thing I am most fearful of is coming out of surgery and not being able to see or speak because of the swelling. For those of you who have gone through this, what was waking up like? Be honest, I can take it. Just trying to prepare mentally!

Amazon Pharmacy Trying to Force Me to Use Kwikpens

Has anyone else encountered this? Amazon Pharmacy just tried to force me to use Kwikpens. Being in maintenance, I've had trouble with continuity of care because my providers keep leaving One Medical, and when you are at goal, new providers tend to look at you sideways when you tell them you are on Zepbound, but not overweight. I finally got my latest new provider to take over my prescription, as I've been using Call On Doc, and that whole process was a thing. I decided to have her send it to Amazon rather than Costco, because Costco only lets me fill it on day 28 exactly. She prescribed it and I ordered it from Amazon earlier this month, without issues.

Yesterday I get a note from Amazon Pharmacy that says I will need to request a new script from my provider because my insurance is requiring I change to the Kwikpen July 1, but that I won't need a new PA. I've received no such notification from my insurance, so I go to to chat with someone at UHC. UHC says this isn't correct, the single dose pens are still covered, and if I want to go to the Kwikpen, I need a new PA.

So, I reach out to chat with someone at Amazon, who isn't paying attention or following and says well, you'll have to take it up with your insurance, we cannot help you with that. Umm, my insurance says I am still covered on the single dose pens??? Hello? I get frustrated and said whatever, if it becomes an issue come July 1, I will just figure out how to get the coupon with Optum RX, and switch to that.

Well, today I get a notification from One Medical that my prescription has been sent to Amazon Pharmacy. I didn't send in a request, what prescription? Then I get a notification from Amazon Pharmacy that they received my prescription for the Kwikpen. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? It isn't July, I didn't make this request, I am still covered by the single dose, and there is ZERO record of this prescription request in my One Medical account. AND I HAVE NO PRIOR AUTH FOR THE KWIKPEN. Furthermore, if you've ordered from Amazon Pharmacy before, you know they delete your prescription for one dose if you get a new one. They won't let you keep both on your account. I had to scramble to get them to rescind this Kwikpen script.

Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone here using the Kwikpen? I've been on Zepbound single dose pens this entire time, nearly 2 1/2 years. Switching to some other way to inject brings me pause.

Also, I posted this in the original subreddit and the mods took it down and muted me for 3 days for asking how being forced to use Kwikpens wasn't relative to the community?
