crumbl hate is deserved
hiii used to work at crumbl (pics for proof) and new vid was interesting , just so everyone knows this company is shit. they hire young girls to do insane amounts of labor for 8 dollars an hour (they cap pay at 12 an hour where i am). as someone who worked a bunch of different bakeries like grocery stores, independents, and cafes it is by far the most amount of work ive ever had to do for the least amount of pay. if you are over 18, you are expected to do 7 jobs at once: mixing, balling (weighing the right amount of dough for a million cookies),baking, decorating, cleaning, customer service, inventory mngmt. (for reference, my grocery store assistant decorator position paid 15 an hour starting and only required 3 main jobs; decorating, cleaning, and customer service on occassion) i was a shift lead and got fired for unionizing the young women who started there as their first job making it abundantly clear that i got paid double by a grocery store to do half the work crumbl requires. ALSO! baking/decor is a lot of work and its extremely hard to be consistently in a good mood and all smiley for rude ass customers, most bakeries hide their kitchens for a reason : its 10x more draining to be on socially while baking than to just focus on the intricate work at hand. i wish nothing but the worst for that liminal ass pink prison and wish the best for all the poor employees dealing with that insane amount of work. a sincere fuck you to crumbl and to anyone who supports it while knowing how immoral they are as a company♡
