what are you all excited to see when looking for aceos? i know cats are huge, but i love seeing frogs and whimsical/fantasy based cards.

also, for collectors, do you tend to stick to themes in your collection? like, all realism or all cats or all portraits? or is it a fun mix of whatever catches your fancy at the time?

i’m always so unsure on when to list aceos. right now i shoot for posting at the start of the week and ending on thursday, fridays, or saturdays BUT then i get excited with new creations and want to post immediately midweek.

so i’ve definitely fallen prey to the absolute flood of ACEOs that is my tiktok fyp. it’s definitely inspired me, but reading through this subreddit has cautioned me on the unrealistic expectations that can go into it.

My two main questions are:
Are there any other sites I should be aware of when it comes to selling? Right now Ebay and Etsy are what I’m seeing.
And secondly, I’m seeing conflicting advice on starting bids at 99 cents or not. I’m not looking for crazy compensation, but I would like to not lose money while sending out any cards. Would starting bids at 99 cents with a dollar shipping fee be silly?
