commission handmade embroidery patches?

Hello ladiesss, my fiancée and I just went to the PH and Uniqlo is putting patches like these on different pieces. She really loves them and was really hoping to get them because they represent different islands in her home country. However, the wait was too long to have them done, so we couldn’t get them before flying back to Melb.

I’ve never looked into embroidery patches before. Is there a community for this so we can find something similar, or does anyone know places that take commissions so we can try to replicate these? (They are squares and look like the photo attached. I also added one example from the store)

Appreciate any and all help, I’m a bit lost on where to go for this, thanks so much!

hey all, I (30F) am proposing to my girlfriend (33F) in August because the band we met through is suddenly touring and it’s our one chance to see them. I always knew I wanted to propose just before seeing them in concert so I’ve got to figure something out quick!

We are not ring people. My girlfriend loves dangly earrings. Neither of us are big fans of jewellery that look overly gaudy or expensive or similar to what you’d see locked behind a case at a fancy jewellery store (not our personal style). We also don’t personally like to spend excess money on jewellery (just don’t consider it a priority). We really prefer handmade, interesting and unique pieces, raw/rough gemstones and craftsmanship, and above all, supporting independent artists. I already have an idea of what I want made for my love, but haven’t a clue where I can find someone who can make what I’m looking for for a price I can afford ($500-$1k max).

I actually found what I thought would be the perfect earring combination from thestonery.com.au (where the photos attached are from). The length and style of the ones on the left, combined with the sapphire and aquamarine (our birthstones) + the gold metal on the right. (And I’m hoping to get a very small engraving anywhere on each earring of our initials). I love how unusual they look, and especially the rough, handmade element. Yet they’re still quite elegant. And they’re only in the $200-$400 range so it was absolutely perfect! Alas, the seller never responded to my emails/custom request, as I think they’re out of the country. And time is really running out.

I’m desperate for recommendations. Please Australia, let me know of any artists you would go to for something like this. I am based in Melbourne but will also be happy to order online from someone. It’s just so hard to SEARCH online these days. Etsy is basically temu now without knowing what store to go to!

Edit: I promise I know my partner and we have discussed this at length… she knows and she is not expecting an engagement ring. We just aren’t into societal traditions like that.
