Tata Nexon Had Rust Before Delivery.
We recently bought a brand-new Tata Nexon (Just a few weeks ago), and we are first-time car buyers.
The concerning part is that rust/corrosion was already visible before delivery. We pointed it out to the dealer, and they told us it would “go away in first service.”
We were not properly given a chance to do a PDI either. The dealership proceeded directly with the RTO/registration, and being first-time buyers, we trusted them and didn't realize we should insist on a thorough PDI first.
Now we're extremely worried. My sister worked for almost 10 years to finally buy her first car, and this is how the experience has started.
The dealership is one of the largest Tata dealerships in pune, which makes this even more disappointing.
Is this normal? What should we do now? Should we escalate directly to Tata Motors?
