The Ventrue tries with all their might (and Fortitude) to hold onto something being ripped away with unstoppable force. Their joints fail before their grip does. Their arm gets ripped off.

The Ventrue can regenerate their arm over a daysleep or two, but what happens to the detached limb? Is it immediately subject to degenerating to its true age like a vampire's corpse would after Final Death? Does it revert to a human limb? Remain a nice unrotting appendage until the vampire regenerates one, at which point one of the former applies?

Happy to defer to canon from previous editions if this isn't answered in V5, just curious if there is a canon answer.
