Doctor’s Taper schedule seems potentially too quick

Hello, after being on Cymbalta for 1.5 years at 60mg for 6 months, and then 90mg for 1 year, while I have done some research and reading elsewhere, today is my first time reading r/cymbalta and this sub.

After having lots of side effects and seeming no relief for my depression, anxiety, or chronic pain — my psychiatrist and I decided I should transition off this medication.

Having read other people’s experiences I am growing concerned about the tapering plan that I just started.
The plan is:
Down to 60mg (1 week)
Down to 30mg (1 week)
Then done.

Also they never even mentioned withdrawal symptoms to me when we decided on this.

Should I be concerned? Should I talk to my doc and discuss a longer taper?
Or should I see how I am feeling as I go down in dosage and potentially adjust my taper as needed?

Obviously there isn’t a right answer to any of this but I would just appreciate to hear anyone’s thoughts.

Thanks a lot!
