December 2026 Honeymoon Recommendations?
Anything we should avoid? My husband and I will be having our honeymoon in Banff from the 16th-23rd. I don’t have a crazy budget but I want to do around one activity per day, or 5 “big” experiences, whether they’re free or paid. Im seeking specific recommendations for businesses and locations. A few things to keep in mind:
• My husband has limited food preferences. No cheese/fondue, pretty plain meat and potatoes, sandwiches or soups for high tea wouldn’t appeal to him
• We’re bringing our 60lb dog with us and want to include him in short activities wherever possible. Tall order jn the winter, but maybe you have some tips?
So far I’ve booked:
• Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary meet and greet
• Lodging at Banff Rocky Mountain Resort
Most places aren’t accepting bookings yet, but we’re also interested in:
• Private horse drawn sleigh rides
• Live Music
• Snow tubing
• Dog sledding
• Low intensity, shorter hikes and trails with a view
• Helicopter rides
• Spots to see the night sky without light pollution
• Must visit restaurants
• Any other hidden gems or experiences you can recommend!
