I wasn't really interested in omegaverse until I found out Alpha × Alpha is a thing. To me, Alpha × Omega tropes feels very heteronormative and that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid when reading BLs. I have read some decent A × O manhwas before but when asked, my favorite omegaverse stories will always be A × A.

It's most likely a webtoon but I can't be completely sure since I remember nothing beside the backstory of a character.

In the flashbacks, the character lived in a cell, locked up with other children. Some of the children had one of their eye plucked out by the people running that place. One of the researchers would preserve the eyes in test tubes. The children who lost their eye would gauge out other children's eyes and put it into their own socket in hope that they'll see something.
Unfortunately I only remember this part. If this rings a bell for anyone, please lmk!
