Cleaning under appliances-fridge and washing machine after mold

I had water damage and mold remediation is currently going on in home. Before doing that they moved the washer and dryer to storage. Fridge will stay in the house.

How do I clean under washer and dryer , fridge before getting them inside house?

I am sure mold remediation will do their job but I want clean everything at my end before I get stuff from storage back to house.

Thank you and appreciate your comment!

Thanks

Any recommendations how to waterproof house after water damage.

Hi,
We had massive water damage while we were away on vacation for few days. Filed insurance claim and currently dealing with mold on pulled baseboards and all mitigation stuff.
I anxiety level is through the roof after all this and I am going to waterproof whatever possible to avoid shxxshow like this in future.

Can you add your recommendations to following list

  1. Replacing hardwood with hardwood tiles
  2. Getting mown emergency water shutoff
  3. Installing moisture sensor everywhere possible
  4. Getting hepa purifier after mold remediation
  5. Replacing water heater in attic to tankless or moving it from attic to garage (whichever comes out cheaper)

Can I waterproof baseboard any way?

Can I put something against the toe of kitchen cabinets to prevent any water going there in future?

What can I keep in home which will suck up water if there is sudden leak?

Thanks

Water damage+ mold, not sure of timeline of repair

Hi,
We were out on vacation for a week and had massive water leak due to toilet pipe burst.
It’s been 2 weeks and I feel it’s going slower than what it should be and going to cause more mold( not sure if I am thinking correct)Need your insight about it.

Immediately after leak, emergency plumber was dispatched and water was removed. He set up fans and dehumidifier. Contacted insurance after this, the water remediation company came in 3 days after this and set up fans for 3-4 more days. They pulled out baseboards and noticed mold on some of them, they stopped and recommended mold remediation. 2 days after this mold guys came and did all the testing and recommended to wait for 5-7 days before they can get mold remediation approved and get necessary reports. Then pack the things in house before mold remediation. Then there is 5 days waiting period by state.

I am afraid it’s been close to 10 days after the leak and if mold is present, it’s going to grow. Right?
I am so tempted to go pull the baseboards and flooring so things will dry underneath and stop further mold.

Do I hire contractor and get it done?

Please my I can’t think anymore and appreciate any advice.

Thanks
