I’m a bit stuck and would really appreciate some honest feedback.
I’m a Ruby on Rails / Phoenix (Elixir) developer with 4+ years of experience. I’ve got a fully completed profile (100%), solid portfolio projects, testimonials, and relevant work history. My project descriptions are clear and tailored, and I even send personalized Loom video messages with my proposals so clients know it’s not AI-generated or copy-paste.
I also paid for a $20 subscription to boost visibility, but I’m still getting zero proposals or responses.
At this point, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Is it pricing, niche, timing, or just a saturated market?
If anyone has been in a similar situation or has insights on what might be holding me back, I’d really appreciate your advice.
