Any crow-English translators about?
Just wondering if anyone with experience knows what this little guy was trying to communicate?
For context, this is a beach/park that I frequent and the crows around here know me well. On a typical day, it would be weird if someone didn’t float down from the sky to say hello when I arrive. Not all but quite a few are comfortable sitting beside me just to chill or take peanuts or raisins from my hand.
This encounter started that way. I was going for a walk along the beach. He/she was directly ahead doing important crow business and flew to me after noticing me. After crouching down to give the usual treat, it eventually had its fill and lost interest in the food but stayed with me and made these vocalizations for the next 5ish minutes. I’ve done a bit of reading over the past year to understand their behaviour better but wanted to ask more knowledgeable people what it likely was trying to communicate.
