

Old PC Hardware
Pleasant evening everyone. I'm looking for some recommendations or advice. I'm interested in building a small home server for file storage, backups, media library management, that sort of thing. Instead of going out and purchasing all new hardware, I wanted to first find out if there are any local resources for old, yet functional small form factor hardware that would otherwise end up in a landfill or recycling programme.
I reached out to a colleague at HRM and he said that they dispose of old hardware through a vendor but wasn't aware of the details of that process or if any other similar programmes existed. Thought that I would come over and ask here.
