No car as a grad student, QOL?
Hi all, I'm coming to Tech this Fall for a 2-year masters. I've already secured housing at Alight and will be working down by the airport for an assistantship. I can't afford a car and was going to get a good class 2 e-bike instead. What could I expect my QOL to look like in terms of what I can do, where I can go, etc.
I'm really into hiking and the idea of being stuck to just biking distance of Blacksburg seems a little demoralizing. I'm also curious what the vibes are socially regarding no-car living as a grad student. I've always used Instacart for grocery delivery, is that reliable in Blacksburg?
