Which next language?

Hi! My first post on Reddit so here goes. I need help picking my third language. I am from CA and currently live in the PNW. My Spanish is pretty good (grew up in CA, lived in Spain for a couple of years, etc). I want to continue to improve my Spanish and also I want to pick up a new language. But I can’t decide which and I keep flittering around 3. Here are the three: 1/ German. It’s an interesting language and my ancestral language. I’m very interested in ancestry so that’s a real pull. The downside is that every German will speak better English than I do so perhaps it’s not practical. 2/ French. It’s a language that is both beautiful and practical as there are cool places where the culture expects you to know their language. And it’s Latin so it would be smooth to go with Spanish and French. 3/ Japanese. I love Murakami novels and Japanese culture and would really like to travel in Japan. While it would be hard, I’ve heard that Japanese people are appreciative of people who put in the effort. I literally cannot decide. My brain is not big enough for more than 2.
