Venue suggestions??

My parents met and were married in Athens in 1976. They’re quickly approaching their 50th anniversary, and I would love to throw them a lovely anniversary party. But where? Most of the places that are meaningful to them don’t exist anymore. They met while working together at the Banner Herald when it was a traditional newspaper, the church they were married at is gone. My mom grew up on Woodrow street. They both went to UGA, my mom will literally bark at Tennessee fans. Does anyone have any suggestions for a venue to hold a 50th anniversary party for these wonderful Athens lovers? Anything that used to exist 50 years ago and is still standing would be ideal, but I’m open to any suggestions.

My 19 year old sweetheart has mats in her beautiful fur

My girl is 19, gradually approaching 20 years old. She has arthritis and has definitely lost the ability to properly groom herself. I have tried to help her with this and brush her regularly, but she’s also become pretty intolerant of that as well. I can feel mats of fur under her top coat. They’re not visible when you look at her but when I pet her they’re definitely there. I do not know how to get these mats out without traumatizing her, I don’t want to cut them out, there’s too many and it will definitely leave her with bald spots. I’m not sure what to do. She’s an indoor cat and she’s very frail at her delicate age. Is this something I should even worry about as long as she’s comfortable and happy? I love her more than life, I’ve had her since she was a kitten and she’s my whole world. I just want to make sure I’m doing my best by her. The vet didn’t really seem too concerned, but the last time I took her it was to address a much more pressing health concern that has since been resolved. I just want to make sure I’m taking the best care of my best friend in her golden years. Any tips for removing fur clumps and mats in an elderly kitty? Cat pics for tax,
