Don't Blow Up Balloons

5wpo here and this is not something that I would have considered during recovery.

I went to my best friend's son's first birthday today and was unable to help with set up at all. Someone mentioned blowing up balloons, and I immediately jumped on it because how easy is that? I just have to sit there and blow out real hard. As soon as I started blowing the first balloon up, I realized that my entire core was engaged and I was straining in order to forcefully blow up a feakin' balloon. Needless to say, I immediately stopped at that balloon and passed the job off to someone else. Unfortunately, I'm still spotting tonight. 😅

Has anyone else encountered an "easy" task that unexpectedly ended up being an issue?

Really Confused About Surgery Aftermath

Well, the deed was done this morning at 9:30! However, I am super confused because this is not going at all like I expected from listening to so many people's experiences.

For context, I had a laprascopic total hysterectomy and salpingectomy and have only had one Tylenol before leaving the surgery center. However, I have no gas pain whatsoever or any pain outside of bladder irritation (cytoscopy was performed at the end). Other than wild fatigue and grogginess, I feel the same as I did right before the surgery.

Does pain set in later, like it's all going to hit all at once tomorrow or something? I feel anxious that the pain is coming and that it will be debilitating. I mean, did they even take the whole kit out? 😅 Did anyone have a smooth start before the pain finally showed up? If so what woud have helped to prepare?

Any Dietary Advice for Healing?

Preparing for my upcoming total hysterectomy with salpingectomy (8/28) and was wondering if I can take any supplements or eat specific foods to help support my body through the healing process. I don't really have a great history for easy healing (other health issues heavily impacting that), and I'm a little anxious. 😅 I've heard that collagen and lots of protein are good, but does anyone have any advice on what helped them during their healing process?
