My boss sat me down today and told me I’m doing an 'excellent job' and handed me a 3% increase. I did the math—after taxes, that’s an extra $40 a month.
My landlord just hiked my rent by $180. I’m literally working harder just to end up $140 deeper in the hole every single month. How are we supposed to 'budget' our way out of a systemic collapse?
How much did your rent go up this year? I need to know I’m not the only one losing this race.
