Period Discs- worth the switch?

My periods HURT. I usually just use tampons and liners, sometimes pads at night, but having been reading more and more about their toxicity and how that can contribute to pain and I’m considering switching to a disc or cup. I’ve also been unsuccessfully TTC for a year and a half and have seen more than once that tampons don’t cause infertility alone but certainly don’t help (more so due to toxin load). With having irregular, unpredictable cycles I also hate shoving one up there “just in case” if I’m having random cramps a day just to have to pull it out dry (☠️) and think a disc or cup as backup could be a better option.

Anyone who has used a cup or discs, any input or advice? Was it worth the switch? Did it help period pain? Issues with leakage?

Irregular Cycles, Letrozole, and taking a break

TTC for a year and a half now, just completed my fourth round of Letrozole with trigger. For reference, I had 8 periods in 2025 and of the two cycles that were monitored, ovulation was indicated both times. No cycle was the same length. I just finished my fourth unsuccessful Letrozole round (ovulated each time, just no implantation) and am hitting a breaking point. I am considering taking a break- no medicine, no monitoring. Just enjoying time with my husband and NOT checking my temp every morning and counting my caffeine intake and peeing on sticks half the month and squeezing in blood draws and ultrasounds and phone calls from doctors, etc. However, the silver lining of taking Letrozole was that I was FINALLY pretty regular- cycles within 28-34 days each time.

I’m afraid taking a break will result in another random 2-3 month cycle that will result in even more stress. Has anyone with irregular cycles taken Letrozole for a few months, then taken a break? What happened? Were you regular or back to normal (as in, abnormal, unpredictable cycles)? Any insight appreciated. I’m not currently striking a good balance between giving TTC all I have while protecting my sanity.

I’m one week out from my hysteroscopy/SIS procedure. Didn’t bleed majorly, just light dark colored spotting/mini clots for a couple days but was cleared up by the weekend.

Doc didn’t find anything but since she didn’t see any growing follicles said I could start a round of Letrozole this cycle (it was day 6 of my cycle and she said we would pretend it was day 1).

Today is technically my cycle day 12, but “cycle day 7” per my amended Letrozole schedule. However, today I had a large gob of EWCM with small dark clotty discharge, the latter of which is super abnormal for me at this time in my cycle. They had said I should only have spotting for a few days after the procedure I had.

Did anyone who did a SIS/hysteroscopy notice discharge continuing a week after the procedure?
