retro solo (telecaster) model is non-returnable?

does anyone know why no matter the options this is listed as "not returnable" on their builder?

I'm considering one, and it would be a pretty basic build. Not that i'd expect to return something like that, but it strikes me as odd that no matter the features it's not returnable - for something as common as a tele style guitar.

My first one was around 2003, XB76 walnut. That one took my from teenage years well into college as a music major and into a professional career playing bass.

Sold it eventually. Some years later I was missing the comfort I had when I played the old carvin, so I ordered an LB76 with an ash body. That one was honestly a bit of a dud.

In the meantime, I think i've owned 12 or so carvin/kiesel instruments, so I know what they're about.

now, all these years after my first one, I know a lot more about what I need and what I like.

I think the magic in this built is the option 50 for 60's jazz bass pickup placement, as well as vol/vol/tone wiring. Single coil pickups. 3 piece maple/purpleheart should do well in humid summer/cold winters here in new york.

Went with a solid color to keep cost down, but I think this grabber blue / ebony, and abalone inlays, will have a cool vibe.

No idea what current built times are, but the order was just placed friday. Excited to see how it comes out.

I've had more expensive custom instruments, but there is nothing quite like the thrill of using their configurator and deciding to place the order.
