My F80 is suffering from the common yellowing/delamination issues with the carbon roof. I’d love to get it re-cleared.

A reputable shop in my area quoted $2500-3000, they sent pictures of other F80’s they’ve done. They strip the old clear and take off a thin layer of resin underneath and replace the resin with a more UV resistant version, then lay down a few layers of clear. They said it’s about a week long job.

Forums are saying this is like a $700 job. Why such a huge difference in price?
