Post your realistic but unpopular takes for next season

I'll start with a few of mine:

  1. GTJ will either be a starter or average close to 30 mpg off the bench

  2. KPJ will be starting PG

  3. If he's not gone by the deadline, we end up extending Kuzma

Please know I'm not endorsing any of the above (GTJ having any role, much less a big one horrifies me), it's more that they're realistic scenarios and I'd rather be all set for impending disappointment now instead of later. Also, will be fun to look back and see how wrong they are or if any come to fruition.

So anyway, what say you, beloved denizons of r/MkeBucks? Please try and stay within the "realistic" boundary, or at least somewhat - super hot takes about next season would be better served in a separate thread (and might be deserving of one soon too lol)

[Venting Thread] GTJ will take minutes from Burries and Kas

That is all and it really, really, REALLY sucks. Hell, for this level of contract he'll probably be starting over one of KPJ or Rollins.

Worst part is we'll have to watch his washed ass.

Anyway, I just needed to vent and if u/Short_Bus_ is cool with allowing a venting thread, please have at it and know I share in your absolute misery rn...just wtf

eta: GTJ fan club already downvoting - truth sucks so I get it, that's the only response y'all have lmao

2026 Draft, Post-Giannis edition

Obviously, let's hope for a great draft but wow, it's really starting to hit now that Giannis is actually gone, at least for me. It's crazy to finally be in this spot we always knew could be coming and now that it's actual reality, what a journey we had...too much for words, even.

And regardless of what happens tonight, let's look all forward to starting this next chapter in Bucks history and I for one can't wait to ride again into next season with everyone in the sub - love y'all!!! GO BUCKS GO

[Stein] Detroit has legitimate interest in acquiring Herro and league sources say those talks are taking place. The Bucks will both listen to offers for Herro and consider keeping him on the roster. Sources say that the Pistons also have Norman Powell on their list of potential offseason targets.

As The Stein Line first reported last Thursday, Detroit has legitimate interest in acquiring Herro and league sources say those talks are taking place. Sources indicate that the Bucks will both listen to trade offers for Herro and consider keeping the Milwaukee native on the roster.

Trading away Jaquez and Jakučionis in addition to Herro and Ware heightens the need for Miami to find a way to hold onto unrestricted free agent-to-be Norman Powell. Which will be complicated.

Sources say that the Pistons indeed intend to add Powell, who is coming off his first All-Star season, to their list of potential offseason targets as they look to add shooting and playmaking in support of star guard Cade Cunningham.

It's a list that already features the likes of Herro, Charlotte's Coby White (also soon to become an unrestricted free agent) and Oklahoma City's Isaiah Joe in addition to players who project to be more difficult to acquire: New Orleans' Trey Murphy III, Dallas' Kyrie Irving and the Los Angeles Lakers' Austin Reaves.

Pistons lead decision-maker Trajan Langdon has vowed to explore every possible option for upgrades via trades and free agency but also has his own pricy in-house matters to resolve this summer by re-signing restricted free agent big man Jalen Duren and coming to terms on a rookie scale extension with defensive ace Ausar Thompson.

[SiriusXM] Chris Haynes on Giannis Antetokounmpo: “From what I’m hearing this could drag on into free agency. This could drag on until July … I do still believe he will be moved this offseason, but I’m not as certain as I was before that it’d be done before the draft.”

MVPs from 1993-2026 who never won a NBA Championship

Charles Barkley (1993)

Karl Malone (1997, 1999)

Allen Iverson (2001)

Steve Nash (2005, 2006)

Derrick Rose (2011)

Russell Westbrook (2017)

James Harden (2018)

Joel Embiid (2023)

Prior to Barkley, every MVP won at least 1 chip. Russ, James and Embiid still could but it's getting more remote with each year, especially Russ and James.
