Trouble scheduling a driving test in London

Hello All! I'm an American, over here on a spousal visa, and have had a US driving license for over 23 years. I just passed my UK theory test, and went on to schedule my practical test and there are zero appointments available at the 5 different test centers near me in North London. I even looked at other smaller cities near friends and family in the Midlands and even those are not available.

Any tips or tricks? I've read that I should log onto the website at 6am on Mondays when they release new appointments, but wanted to hear from others who were able to successful book an appointment.

Also just kind of flabbergasted by this as well!

Thank you so much!

Hello! I'm moving back to the UK (England specifically) with a 6 month old and 2 year old, and want to make sure I have all the NHS ducks in a row for my children.

In the US I usually follow this line of command:

  1. Pediatrician: a doctor for most routine check ups or non urgent medical needs
  2. Urgent Care: same day needs but not a full blown emergency
  3. Emergency Room: for emergencies that need swift attention

Can someone explain what the chain of command would be with children in the UK? We know which GP surgery we're to sign up with, but other than that I'm not clear how to navigate, and want to make sure Im prepped in case anything happens with my kids.

Thank you so much in advanced!
