As a newer fan of NJPW I’ve seen this dude a handful of times. Most recently(just watched the G1 semifinal show) and he showed up for Tenzan. I have watched some other shows and he’s showed up, I forget which WK it was but pretty sure he was an entrance in the Rambo. But what’s his story or why does he just randomly show up? And what’s with his glove/claw thing?
Why are title matches almost nonexistent in Mexican wrestling? Like I know they happen but why are they so rare? Growing up I only really watched WWE and other American promotions like ROH and TNA but even they would have the occasional title match on TV and if not they would almost always have either all or most of the titles defended at the PPV/big show. Even now as I am getting into NJPW and other Japanese promotions, I've noticed they don't have title matches as frequently but they usually have them during the tours or will have the title matches at their bigger shows.
I do think it’s pretty unrealistic for both finalist from each block to end with 14 points but it’s what I ended with when picking winners. But I mainly had 4 guys in mind for the tournament stage and it was Yota, Yuya, Shota, and Takeshita. I do think Goto, Kidd, or ZSJ can def advance to the tournament stage instead of who I picked which is why I gave them a lot of wins also. Hoping to do better than last year
I was rewatching Dominion 2023 yesterday and knew Master Wato won the BOSJ that year and fails in his title match against Hiromu. Which makes sense, Hiromu is considered to be one of the greatest juniors of all time but Wato has only been given 2 other Junior Heavyweight title shots since then. Even his most recent one against Douki has a 2 year gap from his second most recent title shot which is also against Douki. So what’s the deal? Is it something I’m not understanding or is it just not his time yet?
I know it's fun around here when an author accidentally posts about their fantasy book that has no relation to wrestling but have there been any books that involve wrestling? I'm not talking about like autobiographies or cook books or about the history of a promotion or things similar. I mean a book that is all about wrestling and has its own world. The only books I remember reading was when I was younger there was a choose your path book that I think was about teaming with Rey Mysterio or maybe you were Rey, don't really remember it since it was a long time ago but as someone who hates reading. It was one of the only books I wanted to keep reading BECAUSE it was wrestling themed.
