Advice

So I did a commercial cleaning walk through, medical 4500 sqft or so, lobby, 2 restrooms, several patient rooms 2 offices or so, all hard floors lvp, tile etc. Basic services high touch points, floors restrooms, no supplies just chemicals, 3 x a week 1500 a month and 5 x 2200. Is that to low? Texas. Any thoughts thinking 2.5hrs to 3 a night. Not sure.

I’m looking for advice from people who successfully broke into commercial cleaning/janitorial accounts, especially medical, dental, office, or multi-tennant facilities.

I’ve only been actively working on this a few weeks, so I know I’m still early. I’ve done a few door knocks, cold calls, and some networking, but I feel like I may be missing important steps in getting traction.

I’d really appreciate hearing how others got started and what helped them land their first recurring clients.

A few things I’m curious about:

How did you start building relationships and trust?

What helped you get your first real opportunities?

What helped you stand out when you had little experience or few references?

Who is the most common decision maker i should network with?

Right now I’m trying to learn from people already ahead of me instead of blindly spinning my wheels.

I’m not expecting overnight success — just trying to understand what the early stage realistically looks like.

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks!
