My first Hampta Pass trek wasn’t about being the strongest or the fastest. It was about taking one step after another while constantly telling myself:

“I don’t know how, but I can do it.” 🥹

There were moments of panic, moments of laughter, endless uphill climbs, beautiful valleys, hailstones, and views that made every difficult step worth it.

Somewhere between the glacier trails and sleepless nights, I realized that confidence doesn’t always come before the challenge. Sometimes, it quietly catches up while you’re already moving.

Also, a special mention to our trek leader, whose life philosophy was:

“Khana khao gach ke, bartan rakho maanj ke.” 😂

And honestly, that’s the mountain way of life.

The mountains don’t care who you are or what you’re used to. Everyone carries their own backpack, waits their turn for food, washes their own utensils, and keeps moving. There’s something beautifully grounding about that.

This journey gave me more than a certificate—it gave me proof that I can do hard things, even when I start with self-doubt.

Here’s to more mountains, more stories, and more versions of ourselves waiting on the other side of “I don’t think I can.”
