The Finnish international won the UEFA Women's Europa Cup last season.

She spent last season on loan with Birmingham, who won WSL2 last season.

The article doesn't say, but the Instagram post suggests her contract runs to 2028.

The basics is that it is a league phase, the same as the men's UEFA Champions League / Europa League or rugby union's European Champions Cup, where we play six matches. The fixtures (but not the league) are split into North and South sections, and we're playing in the South section. (That seems odd to me - if one section is notably stronger than the other it's a disadvantage to be in that section, but I do get wanting to minimise travel - particularly with many games being midweek-Evening games.

Our home games are expected to be at Meadow Lane (but it looks like we're still using the King Power Stadium for WSL2 fixtures).

She's been with us since 2021, when we were in The Championship.

That's *five* former players there now.

She left us as a free agent after last season.

It's like they're building an "Ex-Leicester Best Of" over there. (Momiki, Mace, Mouchon, and now Cain because apparently starting your name with an 'M' wasn't the rule.)

She never seemed to find her feet with us. While never scoring, I do think she contributed a lot in terms of work rate and organising the press. Plus she's an absolute superstar in my Football Manger team.

Bringing in Emma Hayes would have been an interesting alternative trouser-leg of time where we never get Enzo Maresca, but probably don't lose the manager immediately after being promoted either.
