Black Eyed Susan (2024)

Saw this one a few months ago and I have never seen anyone else talk about it, but it is definitely kind of dark and fucked up. I'd consider the topic very controversial.

I don't want to give too much away and don't recommend reading the IMDB before viewing, but it deals with the idea of what some people might use human like robots for. I didn't have any idea of what it was really about and because of that it had a larger impact than it could have if I'd known. In the first 5 minutes I thought, "what the fuck did I get into here?"

Windows 11 HDR on, Auto-HDR off, RTX HDR on?

Can't figure this one out and have been getting conflicting information. I am using Windows 11 and have the HDR set to On in the Windows Settings, I have Auto-HDR off. When starting a game, in this case Resident Evil 6, it does not have any settings for HDR to turn on in the game, which I have set to Full Screen mode.

From what I can tell the game is still in HDR and that it is inheriting it from the Windows 11 HDR On setting. In the past this setting would not inherit to older games and I would use RTX HDR to add HDR to non-HDR games.

Screen is an LG OLED65C3AUA and the TV settings are telling me that in game it is using HDR.

The colors, or at least the gamma and brightness for this game seem to be way off. In the settings for brightness in game and the "set the slider until you can no longer see the 6" just dims the whole screen at once, even on the lowest setting I can clearly see the "6" its just the whole screen is really dim.

Should I still be using RTX HDR in this scenario even though it seems like the game is using Windows 11 HDR? I don't think I can even use RTX HDR unless Windows 11 HDR is set to On, so its not like I can turn that off and use RTX HDR.

Kind of confused on this one. In the past my older games wouldn't automatically use HDR from Windows HDR setting, not sure what changed or if I did something different or if I'm just smoking dust and can't remember correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sick cactus looking for diagnosis

I've had this cactus for almost 20 years, started it from seed and have been moving it with me for a long time. It has been somewhat neglected the last few years. It will develop these black spots that will spread and get bigger and I eventually cut that part off only for it to come back later on new growth. I've tried to search for what is causing it and how to fix it but have gotten mixed results and nothing I've tried has fixed it. I tried keeping it out of the sun (reports it was caused by sun damage), I've tried re-potting to lighter soil (maybe it was a drainage issue), I've tried watering less (gone to once every 6 weeks).

Does anyone know what causes this kind of issue and how to correct it? I am somewhat attached to the guy and would like to heal him back to health but can't figure out what is actually wrong with him or if it is something I am doing.
